Sensors we support
Every sensor in the Latchpad platform is one of three kinds — noise, occupancy, or leak. Below is the supported hardware for each kind, a one-paragraph quick-start, and the exact model names you pick from when pairing a device on your Maintenance page.
Supported models
| Model | Vendor | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Minut (3rd gen) | Minut | Battery-powered; works offline for ~12 hr. |
| Google Nest Detect (noise-event plan) | Google Nest | Cloud subscription required; same Nest hub used for occupancy. |
| Amazon Echo (Alexa Smart Properties skill) | Amazon | Bundles noise + occupancy; requires a Smart Properties account. |
Quick start
Mount centrally 6–8 ft up, away from HVAC vents, white-noise machines, and TVs. Pair via the Minut app (or vendor equivalent); the alert feed surfaces noise events on the Maintenance page within ~20 s.
Supported models
| Model | Vendor | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Aqara FP2 | Aqara | mmWave room-presence with multi-zone support; needs Aqara M2 hub. |
| Aqara FP1 | Aqara | PIR + radar fusion; older but stable; Aqara M2 hub required. |
| ecobee SmartSensor (2-pack) | ecobee | Pairs through any ecobee thermostat on the property. |
Quick start
Place in or near the room you want to monitor — FP2 fits a wall mount near the door, FP1 on a shelf, ecobee on the wall. Pair via the vendor hub (Aqara M2 or an ecobee thermostat), then give the unit 24 h to baseline occupancy.
Supported models
| Model | Vendor | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Moen Smart Leak Detector | Moen | Battery; no hub required; pairs straight to Wi-Fi. |
| Phyn Smart Water Sensor | Phyn | Optional auto-shutoff valve add-on; needs Phyn Plus bridge. |
| Fibaro Flood Sensor | Fibaro | Z-Wave; add through your hub (SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant). |
Quick start
Place under the kitchen sink, behind the toilet, near the water heater, or behind the washing machine. Pair via the vendor app; for Fibaro, add it through your Z-Wave hub — leak alerts surface on the Maintenance page immediately.
Need help pairing a device?
Once a sensor is in your hands and powered on, head to Dashboard → Maintenance → Pair new sensor, pick the matching model from the catalog above, give it a room label, assign it to a listing (or drop in Unassigned until you decide), and submit. Future alerts reference the device you paired.
